The Thunder Bay Good Food Box is a monthly fruit and vegetable distribution program that aims to increase access to fresh and affordable produce in neighbourhoods, housing buildings, organizations, and participating First Nations year-round.
The non-profit, volunteer supported and community-based food security initiative is administered by the Northwestern Ontario Women’s Centre. Customers can order and pick up a box of fresh fruits and vegetables at an affordable price at a host site in their neighbourhood. Boxes are packed and distributed on one day per month, 12 months of the year, and delivered to host sites throughout the service area.
